We caught up with Michael Segal at WPPI in Las Vegas and he said he had the perfect album for us to share on The Queensberry blog. Guns N’ Roses drummer, Matt Sorum and singer/dancer Ace Harper exchanged vows at the Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs, California. Beautiful photographs alongside a timeless album design - this 14x10 horizontal Duo is flawless! A Translucent title page adds that extra magic to any Queensberry Album. Ace is stunning in her Monique Lhuillier dress. Duo's are our signature product. Throughout this album, there are a combination of Matted and Flushmount To View More >>

When our friends from NZTE (New Zealand Trade and Enterprise) wanted a customised book designed for Judith Thompson, the retiring Director of Better by Design, we were more than happy to jump aboard. The brief was for Queensberry to design, print and bind a book filled with photos and personal messages supplied by staff, clients and friends from her time with NZTE. Click on the images to take a closer look. Judith’s overall responsibility included a range of design education initiatives including the regional CEO talk series, study tours to Silicon Valley and Better By Design's annual CEO Summit. Our email list goes back well over a decade. A scary thought when you think about it! People could have been shooting film when they signed up … or still at High School. Mac OSX and Win XP could have been in the future, let alone Facebook and Twitter! (On the other hand there'll be people on it who signed up for Photojunction only yesterday, but in order to design albums from Brand X.) The fact is we've been changing just as much as the world has, but I'll bet many people won't know about the Queensberry Press, for example, or Musée, or our Apple® connection. Or that that you no longer need To View More >>

It used to be that people would ask me if I used film or digital, generally because they'd heard a horror story. I would show them an album and ask them firstly if they liked the quality of the images, and then what they thought it was shot with. Most guessed wrong and said "film". Back then my using digital could have undermined my perceived value. But what if your choice of suppliers added perceived value to your service? What if you had brides asking about your suppliers? If a client sought you out because you used Queensberry would you be offended? If you don’t tell your clients why your To View More >>

Relationships with local wedding venues are a great way to build a strong wedding and portrait business, and a beautiful display album featuring the venue works well for both parties. Simon Whitten is a long-standing and valued Queensberry client from Yorkshire in England. His association with the luxury castle hotel Swinton Park is very important to him, and for years his Queensberry sample album has rested on the piano in the drawing room. When the time came to update it, the question was “with what?” These days most of his clients tend towards the 14x10 Duo that Simon prefers. But feeling To View More >>

Right up there with the 3% rule as a Queensberry mantra is Good Better Best. We don't claim that either of them is original, just that they're common sense. In fact fundamental if you want to build a sustainable longterm career. Good Better Best is a strategy for up-selling – having products and services to tempt your clients across a range of price points. To be blunt, you're offering your customers what they want (something cheap!) while at the same time encouraging them to spend more. Simply put, it does so by offering people three choices… GOOD is your entry level – affordable if you To View More >>
